So that’s me, serving up both brains and body.
I work part time managing a bookstore, and part time in a burlesque troupe.
I have a bachelors degree in literature and philosophy, with a first class honours in philosophy. My research focus was on self-understanding and self-deception in writing, but I dig anything to do with consciousness, artificial intelligence, identity, experience, persistence over time.
I like beer. I take photographs. I like jazz. I juggle, badly.
My favourite writer is Bohumil Hrabal; my favourite book is Heller’s Catch-22 (but that is frequently subject to change).
This blog’s here because I like reading, I like thinking about reading, but I don’t remember what I like or what I think most days.
You can find me over on Goodreads, on Facebook, or Instagram.
As for the name of my blog… well, if you get it, you get it.
Hello, I’m the author who sent you a copy of The Confederacy of Dunces Cookbook, and I’m attaching a website address for an app that explains the places that made up the world of Ignatius J. Reilly. I wrote the narrative. The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities commissioned the project and I think they did a good job. Hope all is well with you.
Hi Cynthia! Thanks so much for the message, I will post the link to the site here and on my facebook – it looks wonderful!
And thank you again for sending the my your book; I use it fairly often, and always get a giggle reading through it! 🙂
